Christian Dupont has 22 years’ experience in the Mobile phone component industry. He spent most of his carrier in Texas Instruments where he headed DSP Marketing and was General Manager of TI Wireless Terminal Business Unit in Europe and USA. More recently, Christian was CEO of Varioptic, the Liquid Lens company. Christian holds a Master’s degree in micro-technology from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne (EPFL)
Geir Gjørva was formally CFO and COO of publically traded companies (Ignis ASA and Santech Micro Group ASA), CEO of Smartnet and board member of Datametrix. Geir managed successfully poLight spin-off from Ignis and Sintef and also incubated several other companies. Geir holds a Master’s degree from Norwegian SM
François Vieillard has 25 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, including 8 years in the mobile industry at NS, Cirrus Logic, Toshiba and ARC. He held various marketing and sales responsibilities and was Sales Director at Digital Imaging Systems (DIS).
François holds a Master’s degree in Electronics from Paris Ecole Centrale D’Electronique.
Pierre Craen has 17 years’ experience in opto-mechanical system engineering. Prior to joining poLight, Pierre managed product development teams at Varioptic, Barco and Motorola/Symbol. He holds
a Master’s degree from Sup-Optic and a Master in physics.
Jon Hermarn has 13 years of research experience in advanced materials as a Senior Scientist, Group manager and part time professor at SINTEF/NTNU. He has also 13 years’ experience in MEMS /MOEMS technology at SensoNor, Ignis and poLight. Jon
holds a Ph.D. in Material science.
Daniel Rosenfeld has 16 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry at EM Marin (Swatch)
as Foundry Manager and at Micronas. He is an experienced consultant in Optics, Medtech, MEMS and also SC. Teaching at EPFL since 2004.
He holds a Ph.D. in Science from EPFL in Semiconductor & thin films.
